Expression of Interest – Nomination to RSL Club Board of Management

Dear Member,

We are calling for Expressions of Interest from Cairns RSL Sub Branch Members to join the ‘RSL Club’ Board of Management.

Section 13.2 (C) of the Cairns ‘RSL Club’ constitution enables the Cairns RSL Sub Branch to nominate four people to be Directors of the Cairns ‘RSL Club’ Board of Management.

In the upcoming ‘RSL Club’ AGM the four ‘Sub Branch’ nominees will be due for election.   The Board of Management of the Cairns RSL Sub Branch, has renominated Mr. Peter Sibree as one of the nominees (he was only recently nominated to the ‘RSL Club’ Board) and wish to put forward the three other nominations to be presented to the ‘RSL Club’ AGM, through an open and transparent Expression of Interest process.

  1. Expressions of Interest received by 4pm the 12th of March 2021 will be considered by the Cairns RSL Sub Branch, EOI Nominations Sub Committee.
  2. The Sub Committee will interview prospective candidates and a number of Expressions of Interest will be presented to the ‘Sub Branch’ Board on the 23rd of March 2021.
  3. Following the meeting with the ‘Sub Branch’ Board Members, three Expressions of Interest will be selected.  These will be advanced as nominations to the ‘RSL Club’ Board of Management.
  4. Current ‘Sub Branch’ Nominees on the ‘RSL Club’ board may wish to re-nominate.

If you would like to be considered for nomination to the ‘RSL Club’ Board please contact secretary@crslsb.org.au for an Expression of Interest application.  This is to be fully completed, signed, witnessed and forwarded to the Secretary, Cairns RSL Sub Branch by 4pm the 12th of March 2021 either by:
