Veterans Business Network

Supporting Veteran-Owned Businesses in Far North Queensland

The Cairns Veteran Business Network (CVBN) connects and promotes businesses owned by veterans, as well as organisations that actively support veteran employment. Many veterans choose entrepreneurship after leaving the Australian Defence Force. In fact, more than half of veterans go on to start or run their own businesses.

CVBN helps these businesses grow while strengthening connections between veterans, local industry, and the wider community. By supporting veteran-owned businesses, you are helping members of our Defence community continue their service through leadership, innovation, and local employment.

If you know of a Veteran owned business or Veteran friendly business, then we would welcome you to share both the Brochure and the Membership application with them.

Our goals are to:

  • Increase visibility of veteran-owned businesses
  • Create networking opportunities for veteran entrepreneurs
  • Support employment pathways for veterans
  • Promote businesses that actively hire veterans
  • Strengthen the veteran community across Cairns and Far North Queensland

Together, we are stronger when we support each other.

Why Support Veteran Businesses?

Veterans bring valuable skills to business and employment, including:

  • Leadership and teamwork
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Problem-solving and adaptability
  • Operational planning and management
  • Commitment to community

Supporting veteran businesses helps ensure these skills continue to benefit the local economy.
