I would like to thank the members of the Cairns RSL Sub Branch for their support in electing me as President. It is a privilege and honour to lead an organisation with deep roots in caring for the Veteran community. I pledge that the board, staff and myself will be available to assist veterans and their families in transitioning into civilian life and meeting if not exceeding the needs of veterans and their families needs ensuring they can be assisted in living their best life after service.
I grasp the opportunity to represent the sub branch and value the contributions of the many who have worked hard to get the sub branch to where it is today.
The other three members that nominated for the position should be commended for stepping up in the face of a ballot for the position, without volunteers we would not be able to provide the services that we do day in day out.
With a proven track record of commitment to my duties as a Director through difficult times, I will bring this commitment into my tenure as President and look forward to being of assistance to all veterans.
I would also like to welcome Gillian Bryant to the Sub Branch as a Board Director. I am sure that Gillian will have plenty to offer the Sub Branch during her tenure.
